Testing

This is just a test to be honest. I got this WP app for my iPhone so I’m just making sure everything is working.

Btw, iPhones are awesome, more than I imagined.

Springtime?

OK, I know, long time no post. Sorry about that, just had a lot to do.

So, what can I say? I’ve finished up at the gas station for good. Buhbye. And I got myself a new job. Project-to-project for now, but I’m happy to be a part of Z-It Productions, where I’ll be doing design stuff related to websites. I’m looking forward to starting up, and I’m happy that the guys in the team are dedicated and true to their line of work. Devoted indeed.

And while we are on the subject, I made the current design in Artisteer. I know, it’s WYSIWYG, and I know, I have no control over the actual code, but I thought I might give it a roll. And you know something, this program is damn good. It’s a breeze to use, simple to understand, and the fact that you can style Wordpress, Drupal and Joomla? Gawd, it’s good. Highly recommended to download and test, even if you are a seasoned pro within the field.

OK, so what else is new? I got myself an iPhone. Yes, new phone again, I know. But still, it’s awesome. It really is. I’ve also started being more active on Twitter. Here is my Twitter for those who are interested. Facebook, meh, I don’t like the new design either. I didn’t get tickets for Michael Jackson either. I didn’t work as hard as I could have for them though. But I am going to Jean Michel Jarre’s concert in May! And that, ladies and gents, will be nothing short of awesome.

And you know what else is awesome?

The Diana+ Instant Back, which prints polaroids instead of 120mm film. I’m in love, again. Can the guys at lomography.com BE more awesome? A must-have if you own a Diana+ or Diana F+.

Made this for my TGL freestyle battle against Daft|Thear.

Me and Thear have battled twice before, and I’ve won both times. Let’s hope this time isn’t an exception. Heh. Thear is great but kinda dropped the ball the last time, so I’m hoping he pulls himself together a bit this time around. ^^,

Time Is Not Forever

"Time Is Not Forever"

February already? Wow.

Wow, things have been crazy lately. My domain was gone for awhile because of my providor being silly enough not to state CLEARLY how to renew your domain name and not just your hosting deal. Media-Allstars, you gotta do something about that, honestly. Things are supposedly fixed now though.

I’ve quit my job at the gas station. The boss was, is, and will always be a world-class prick. I’m not the only one who thinks he is, and others are apparently on the verge of quitting as well. The guy is a horrible boss, for all intents and purposes. Sad, but true.

I’m working on several webdesign-related projects now, one being a new design for my own site. I gotta figure out how to do that and make it more usable than the current version. We’ll see how it goes.

I recently got myself a new 32″ TV. It barely fits in my room, but it’s really great. Great picture, great sound, great size. And it was on sale. Can’t complain about that, rit? My dad inherited the old one for a little sum of money. Nice.

Went to Sweden yesterday, btw. Shopping for food and whatnot (and actually, two pairs of shoes for me), and we had a blast. Elin and her friend were going and I was offered to tag along, so I did. ‘Twas cool. Most of the travelling was spent listening to dance music, trying to get every truck driver we passed to sound their horn, almost driving ourselves into the ditch a couple of times (the driving conditions were pretty bad, le’mme tell you), and telling stupid jokes.

I gotta call my other, um, ex-coworkers, and get a new bowling night in order. Moar fun naow.

Thank God for support

It ain’t easy working these days. Not because it’s too hard or because I’m too lazy, but because I have a one-of-a-kind boss. And not in a good way.

Actually, I can’t remember a day lately where he hasn’t insulted me in some manner. He keeps telling everyone else that they’re doing a good job, but I haven’t heard that since, I think, September. It was just the other day, actually, when I was at work and he had to come in to fill the register with change, and he immediately started picking on me, but when my female coworker (who by the way is one of the coolest people I know) arrived, he immediately started talking about how good she was and whatnot. She is, but that’s beside the point here.

And this Thursday I told him that another coworker had been talking shit to another employee, and what does he do? He gives me a reprimande telling me how great this coworker was and blah blah blah blah. And he kept putting me down too, which was a pain in the ass. I’ve just about had enough of the guy, so don’t be surprised if I snap at him someday. It’s gonna happen sooner or later, I might be the guy to crack first though.

But today I got a supportive message on Facebook from the longest working staff member, where she told me she was behind me and that she also thought the boss is as useful as a pile of driftwood.

That helped tremendously btw, I totalleh luvz u. You rock, Hæge. Just sayin’.

And so, I went to London

Inside BETT09, London, UK

Inside BETT09, London, UK

And it was pretty magnificent, le’mme tell ya. We primarily went to London to attend BETT, an exhibition about technology and education. We left Norway last Tuesday, early in the afternoon, and spent nearly a week in British territory. And what have I learned? Well. British supermarkets are weird. British taxis are weird. British chips are nice. British beds are meh. British people are in general nice.

And what else? Well, I bought a ton of DVDs, a pair of Crocs (I still can’t believe they actually make them in size 12), and some other minor stuff. I took a lot of photos, will post more once I can be assed resizing them.

We had dinner at a fantastic restaurant one of the nights we were there; wonderful locale, great food, great waiters, and the dessert was to die for. I had the fruit composition, and got two scoops of the best ice cream I’ve ever had as well as a ton of various fruits and berries. Yum.

Oh, and I raided the Adobe stand at the exhibition. Yeah, they had these badges, each one resembled an Adobe program icon, they had one for Photoshop, one for Indesign and so on. I think I stopped by there like 8 times to actually steal one of every kind. My bag is now full of Adobe badges.

I feel like such a geek.

New photomanip tutorial at PSDtuts

PSDtuts just launched this.

It looks like a hella good tutorial, imo, it’s a shame I haven’t gone PLUS yet, but if they keep making tuts like this I think I’ll have to soon. I love advanced Photoshop tutorials, and this is something I’d love to do myself. Someone wanna buy me that PLUS membership? *puppy dog eyes*

It’s about time…

I made the switch back to Wordpress. I haven’t really tried 2.7 until now, and I gotta say, I love everything about it. The update feature, the new dashboard, the new cool functons, everything. And it looks so good too. Amazing stuff by the Wordpress team. And I also decided to write in English this time, for the convenience of my American/British/Australian buddies. I know Roffles is gonna love this.

So what’s this blog gonna be about? I guess my life, graphics, web-related stuff, tech stuff… Pretty much what all my blogs have been about earlier. But hey, new Wordpress! Can’t beat that.

I promise to blog more now. Really, I do.
